NYS Association for Reduction, Reuse & Recycling

NYSAR3 is the New York State Affiliate of the National Recycling Coalition (NRC).

NRC is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of recycling, and also source reduction, composting and reuse by providing technical information, education, training, outreach and advocacy services to its members in order to conserve resources and benefit the environment.

The Federation of New York Solid Waste Associations is an Alliance of three New York State Solid Waste Management Associations. NYSAR3 joined with the Solid Waste Association of North America New York State Chapter (SWANA) and the New York State Association for Solid Waste Management (NYSASWM) to form a united front for Solid Waste Professionals in New York.

Keep America Beautiful, Inc. is the nation's largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. With a network of nearly 1,000 affiliate and participating organizations, KAB forms public-private partnerships and programs that engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community's environment.

Association of Long Island Recycling Officials (ALIRO) is a member of NYSAR3 and has member on the NYSAR3 Board of Directors.

Many of CWMI's constituents are also members of NYSAR3. They also participate in the Organics Recycling and Compost Council.

New York State is one of the member states of this council. One of NYSAR3's members is New York State's representative to NERC.
